-Pull the two tabs to release the blanket.
-Hold the blanket in front of you to protect your hands and body.
-Place the blanket gently over the fire to smother it completely.
-Turn off the heat source if it is safe to do so.
-Leave the blanket in place for at least 15 minutes to prevent re-ignition.
Dispose of the blanket after use.
For clothing fires:
Wrap the blanket around the person and help them roll on the ground to extinguish flames.
